Essential Membership Terms

  • Eligibility for Membership
  1. Age Requirement: The individual must be of a certain age (usually 20 years or older) to become a full member.
  2. Faith: The Associate Member must be a Muslim, with Ash’ari creed and dedicated to following the Quran and Sunnan of the Messenger of Allah ,Muhammad (P.B.U.H).In addition to to these, the Full Member must be a follower of Rabi’iyah Tariqa.
  3. Commitment to the Association’s Purposes: The individual must support the objectives and activities of the association
  4. Moral Character: The person should exhibit good moral character, including adherence to Islamic ethics like honesty, integrity, and respect for others.
  • Membership Rights
  1. Right to Participate: Full Members have the right to attend meetings, participate in events, and engage in the association’s activities.
  2. Voting Rights: Full members have the right to vote in the association’s elections. 
  3. Access to Services: Full Members can benefit from the association’s services, such as educational programs, charity activities, counseling, and other initiatives aligned with the association’s mission.
  4. Right to Speak: Full Members have the right to express their opinions, concerns, and suggestions regarding the association’s operations and activities.
  • Membership Obligations
  1. Adherence to Islamic Values: Members must uphold Islamic principles, including honesty, integrity, justice, kindness, and respect for others in both personal and collective matters.
  2. Regular Participation: Full Members are expected to actively participate in the association’s meetings, activities, and projects. Regular attendance and involvement are encouraged.
  3. Financial Contributions: Members shall be required to contribute financially through membership fees, donations, or voluntary contributions to support the association’s activities as and when applicable.
  4. Respect for Authority: Members should respect the leadership and decision-making processes of the association and work collaboratively with others.
  • Code of Conduct
  1. Ethical Conduct: Members must conduct themselves according to the ethical standards of Islam in all interactions within the association.
  2. Respect for Diversity: Members should respect the diversity of opinions and perspectives within the association while remaining unified in the association’s common goals.Any difference shall be referred to the Executive Committee and further to the General Assembly.
  3. Confidentiality: Sensitive information related to the association, its members, or its operations should be treated with confidentiality and respect.
  • Termination or Suspension of Membership
  1. Voluntary Resignation: A member can voluntarily resign from the association by submitting a formal written notice to the Executive Secretary .
  2. Termination for Breach of Terms: Membership can be revoked or suspended if a member violates the association’s rules, behaves unethically, or no longer supports the association’s core values and objectives.
  3. Disciplinary Actions: The association may take disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion, for behaviors deemed inappropriate or harmful to the association’s unity and reputation.
  • Benefits and Privileges of Full Membership
  1. Religious Education: Access to Islamic educational programs, classes, seminars, and religious studies.
  2. Social and Community Welfare: Members can benefit from the association’s charity and welfare services, including assistance to the needy, and community-building activities.
  3. Networking Opportunities: Membership provides an opportunity to meet like-minded Muslims, foster unity, and form relationships within the Muslim community.
  4. Support and Counseling: Members may have access to spiritual counseling, legal advice, or social support in line with Islamic teachings.
  • Membership Fees and Contributions
  1. Fee Structure: Membership fees shall be fixed monthly contribution. 
  2. Voluntary Donations: In addition to the required membership fees, members are encouraged to contribute voluntarily to the association’s activities, including fundraising for charity work, development programs, and educational projects.
  •  Responsibilities of the Leadership
  1. Leadership Accountability: The leadership (The General Assembly Executive Committee members) is accountable to the members and must operate the association according to its principles, goals, and the will of the members.
  2. Transparency: Leaders must ensure transparency in the management of the association’s financial resources, decision-making, and general operations. 
  • Conflict Resolution
  1. Islamic Principles of Justice: Disputes or conflicts within the association are to be resolved in an Islamic manner, based on Shariah principles of justice, fairness, and reconciliation.
  2. Mediation: Mediation or arbitration may be used to resolve conflicts between members, with the help of a neutral third party or a designated committee.
  • Amendment of Membership Terms
  1. Review and Updates: The terms and regulations governing membership may be periodically reviewed and updated to ensure they remain relevant to the association’s goals and consistent with Islamic principles.
  2. Approval of Changes: Any amendments to membership terms must be approved by the general membership, either through voting or by consensus, depending on the association’s rules.
